Mt Ommaney Centre is committed to reducing our footprint on the environment through water and energy saving initiatives including:

Water

Reducing cooling tower/s water consumption.

Reducing urinal flush volume by 50%.

Installing timed sensors to reduce urinal flushing freqency.

Reducing toilet flush volume by 50%.

Introducing of timed taps in all wash rooms and reduceing the flow rate by 70%.

Implimenting a replanting program commenced introducing drought tolerant vegetation in previously irrigated garden beds.

Harvesting of rain water and air conditioning condensate water to supplement cooling towers water make up.

Water

Participated in Earth Hour 2008, 2009, 2010 and 2011.

Implementating a new Building Management System to ensure the most effective and efficient use of energy.

Changing to a energy efficient lighting and airconditioning system.
