Join us for a series of workshops and seminars designed specifically for grown-ups. Take some time out for you to learn new skills, get creative and focus on your wellbeing. All events are held in our community space located opposite Crema Espresso, near Big W. 

Our upcoming events:

Thursday 23 May - Kokedama Workshop

Learn the art of making Kokedama - an ancient Japanese technique (meaning moss ball), where a plant’s root system is bound with moss and string, transforming it into a mini work of art. All materials are provided to create your very own Kokedama.

Time: 6.30pm - 8pm

Cost: $22pp

Tuesday 4 - Thursday 6 June - Minimalism, is it really possible?

This FREE workshop looks closely at the Minimalism trend - what it is, and if it's actually possible for the average person. Debunking the common myths of minimalism, this workshop will explore minimalism principles, and the practicalities of applying these principles in everyday life. This workshop will give the Maximalists, the Keepers and the Collectors of the world food for thought and may even change the way they view their 'stuff'.

Time: 10am - 11am daily

Cost: FREE

Where is the best place to park?

Closest parking is in the undercover car park near Big W. Enter via the travelator.

Where are the workshops & seminars held?

You'll find us in the community space next to Specsavers, opposite Crema Espresso, near Big W.

Can children attend?

Workshops are designed for grown ups only. Children seated on parents laps are welcome at seminars. Our indoor playground is located nearby for children's enjoyment with parental supervision.

Do I need to bring anything with me?

No, we'll take care of everything with all materials supplied.

Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the workshop?

No, you can show your ticket on your mobile device to the teacher/presenter.

How many spots are available in each workshop?

Craft workshops are limited to 25 participants. Seminars are limited to 40 people.

Why are there costs to participate in some workshops?

Each craft workshop includes a practical lesson with an expert who will provide you with all the materials, skills and assistance to create your craft item. The workshops are subsidised by Mt Ommaney Centre so that participants can enjoy a heavily discounted experience and take home their creation.
